Aliyu Sanusi

Aliyu Sanusi is an emerging scholar in corporate governance and financial distress, with a defined research focus on board-level governance mechanisms and their implications for the financial health of manufacturing firms listed on the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX). He holds an MSc in Business Management from the Department of Business Management, Bayero University, Kano, where he is currently planning to advance doctoral research that will extend the governance-distress nexus through moderating variable analysis in the Nigerian emerging market context. His work intend to theoretically anchored in Agency Theory and Resource Dependence Theory, by employing panel data technique and multi-proxy financial distress models to interrogate governance-performance relationships among NGX-listed firms. These scholarly pursuits are complemented by his role as Chief Executive Officer of Kankara Innovative Ventures Ltd — a CAC-registered diversified enterprise operating across Katsina State, Nigeria — which provides a practitioner lens that meaningfully grounds his academic inquiry into corporate financial governance. His broader professional engagements include financial education, investment strategy, and entrepreneurship development across northern Nigeria.
